An important issue

Dear Editor,

In most educational institutions, physical education is neglected. Along with academic education, physical education needs to be integrated into the academic system. It helps to keep students physically fit and mentally agile. Students can learn leadership skills, and can have the exposure to different types of sports. Moreover, it is also beneficial for physical and mental growth because healthy bodies hold healthy minds.

But, unfortunately, there is no proper provision of physical education in the educational institutions of my area. I hope that this essential component of general education is introduced in all schools of Balochistan.

The issue of 23 June was really cool. To start with, I loved the interview of Khiwa Noul and the 45th episode of The Eid Engagement and Other Weddings. It had a lesson, too; we should not just say anything impulsively, as it can hurt the sentiments of other people. Good work, Us!

Hi Ed,

Marriage – not the ultimate goal by Saman Amjad was a thought-provoking read. I agree with the writer that girls don’t have the freedom to make choices, but she is not really correct when she says there shouldn’t be any specific age for girls to get married. Ed, this premise of the writer may be correct for the western countries, but it is against our religion and culture. Girls should be given the freedom to do what they want by their parents and spouses. Only then can we make progress. Marriage should not be a deterrence to get education or job before or after marriage.
